Sometimes, when I'm driving
At the dead of the night
I see two headlights rushing towards me
Bright, brilliant, like a thousand glowing suns
And I feel the impulse
To drive straight into those headlights
I can anticipate
The shattering
The flames
The explosion
The sudden lightening of my muscles
No more, a tense rabid dog
But just me
Inside a burning car
Just me
And the brilliance of it all
And the beauty of my own mirth
Like a reassurance
I'm alive
I am just one
Shattered into a thousand million suns
I take too much time
The headlights pass by
The sun is no more
I think too much
I see a new sun again.
At the dead of the night
I see two headlights rushing towards me
Bright, brilliant, like a thousand glowing suns
And I feel the impulse
To drive straight into those headlights
I can anticipate
The shattering
The flames
The explosion
The sudden lightening of my muscles
No more, a tense rabid dog
But just me
Inside a burning car
Just me
And the brilliance of it all
And the beauty of my own mirth
Like a reassurance
I'm alive
I am just one
Shattered into a thousand million suns
I take too much time
The headlights pass by
The sun is no more
I think too much
I see a new sun again.
